Jessica Rajko
Jessica Rajko is the project director of "Politics of the Grid." She is an interdisciplinary artist and scholar exploring the lived experience of data and digital technologies. As an assistant professor at Arizona State University, her work blends praxis and scholarship from somatically informed dance, critical feminist scholarship, and human-computer interaction design. She is a founding co-Director of the ASU Human Security Collaboratory, a non-departmental collective of artists and scholars addressing complex problems affecting the security of individuals and communities, with a special emphasis on digital technologies and their uses. Considering issues such as digital civil rights and equity in digital culture, her research aspires to disrupt normative narratives of how we perform digital technology and how digital technology performs us. Erin Donohue
As a child, Erin was firmly committed to being a dancer or a meteorologist. One of those oddly-matched pursuits worked out. Working with and for artists is where she thrives: Erin worked as the education director at Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa, which is also her alma mater. She has spent the past three years as a project manager for Liz Lerman and also manages Liz’s projects at Arizona State University. Erin performs as a freelance dancer and is thrilled to be working with such a powerhouse team of women for this project.
